Rev. Victor O. A. Ogunkanmi

General Overseer,
Christ Gospel Mission International (CGM)

Rev. Victor Olakunle Abayomi Ogunkanmi is the General Overseer of Christ Gospel Mission International, a dynamic Christian ministry with global reach. Born on January 9, 1962, into the founding family of CGM, he inherited a legacy of purpose, faith, and leadership.

A product of top-tier institutions, Rev. Ogunkanmi studied at King’s College Lagos and earned his degree in English from the University of Ife. He later obtained a Master’s in Public Administration from the University of Jos and is a chartered member of the Institute of Personnel Management. His civil service career spanned 35 years, culminating as Executive Director (Admin & HR) at FERMA before retiring honorably in 2019.

In parallel, Rev. Ogunkanmi has been a pillar of spiritual leadership for over four decades. He co-founded CGM’s student fellowship at Ife in 1982 and launched the Abuja branch in 1988. Ordained in 2001, he rose through various ministerial ranks and was officially commissioned as General Overseer in 2013, succeeding his father, Rev. Daniel Olagoke Ogunkanmi.

Beyond CGM, he has served in key national Christian bodies—founding General Secretary of PFN Abuja, National Deputy Secretary of PFN, and two-term General Secretary of CAN (Abuja Chapter). His voice remains influential in faith-based governance, youth mentorship, and nation-building.

A teacher of truth and a man of vision, Rev. Ogunkanmi continues to lead CGM with integrity and innovation. He is married to Rev. Olubukunola Ogunkanmi, and together they are blessed with five children and several grandchildren.
