Anointing is your Connection to God’s Wisdom (Prayer Day 22)

Chorus: Anointing, fall on me, (2x) Let the power of the Holy Ghost fall on me. Anointing fall on me.

Bible Reading: “Your ears shall hear a word behind you, saying, “This is the way, walk in it,” Whenever you turn to the right hand Or whenever you turn to the left. (Is. 30:21).

INTRODUCTION

How many times has the voice of the Spirit within you urged you to do a certain thing, but instead you allowed the voice in your head to overrule? That inner voice is your spiritual intuition, the part of you God speaks to. The Bible says, “Your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’” John the apostle put it this way: “You have an anointing from the Holy One, and you know all things” – 1John 2:20. Learn to trust that “anointing within” and you would be told: (a) what you need to do; (b) when you need to act; (c) what direction to take; and (d) what changes you need to make.

Anointing With Fresh Oil for Deeper Faith (Prayer Day 21)

Text: Ps 92:10; Mk 10: 46-52.

INTRODUCTION

You need God’s power for a purposeful living (1Cor. 4:20) – “For the kingdom of God is not in word but in power.” You get God’s power by praying, by taking risks to obey God and by not giving up.

“But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of a unicorn.” Among the ancients, the unicorn, which the Psalmist adopts as his emblem, was the favourite symbol of unconquerable power.  The believer here, rejoices that he will increase in power, he shall not perish, but be strengthened and enabled to triumph over his enemies by the help of God. Faith takes delight in foreseeing the mercy of the Lord, and sings of what he will do as well as of what he has done.  If you don’t move forward in faith, you will backslide and die. Your heart will grow cold, and you will feel more distant from God. This year, you shall be anointed with fresh oil.  And God will take you deeper in faith to your next level – from glory to glory.
