Extra Oil for our Intercessors (Prayer Day 26)

BIBLE READING:   Matthew 25:1-13; Proverbs 21:20.


    The kingdom of heaven is likened to ten virgins who took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  In our Bible reading today, we see some virtues that we must possess to be successful in our Christian journey, especially as intercessors.

    The virgins were ten. Five of them were wise, and the other five foolish. The distinguishing factor between the two set of virgins was the “extra oil” taken along by the wise virgin which earned them the appellation: “wise”.

    Nonetheless, there are additional qualities that the two categories of virgins shared in common namely: purity, loyalty, self-denial, concentration, perseverance, and so on. Yet, the core value that made a difference between the two sets was the extra oil in the lamps of the wise virgins.

The Lord God established C.G.M International as a place of true worship, for all people from all the nations of the earth to be saved, equipped for fruitful service, worship, and be prepared for heaven. The devil is however waging wars against her progress.  But as we pray and refuse to faint or get discouraged, signs, wonders and peculiar miracles shall take place all over our assemblies in the New Year.  There shall also be great expansion, enlargement of God’s kingdom through this church and her members in the name of the Lord.
